“The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him.” Habakkuk 2:20
God doesn’t always do things in the way we would like, and usually not in our timing! (Patience is a special kind of gift!) Habakkuk was full of questions about why the world was the way it was – just like we are today about the world we live in – but through it all he still trusted and rejoiced, and rested in his knowledge that God is holy and just no matter how things look.
In this short Sunday morning series, our own Andy Macdonald will be looking at this book of the Bible in three sections:
1:1–2:1 – Struggle and Shock – 14th May
2:2–19 – Share and Survive – 11th June
2:20–3:19 – Silence and Song – 25th June
We would encourage you to have a read of Habakkuk (just three chapters) so you are familiar with his thoughts before we all dive into that question… “Does God know what He’s doing?”
