Of course we worship God in all we do, but worship through music is a powerful way to do it. We love making a joyful sound to praise our God.
We use mostly contemporary worship songs and instruments include guitars, bass, keyboard, drums, saxophone, flute and various voices.
Just to give a flavour, in recent worship times we have used songs by:
- Tim Hughes
- Chris Tomlin
- Godfrey Birtill
- Paul Oakley
- Ben Cantelon
- Stuart Townend
- Reuben Morgan
- Hillsong United
- Bethel
- …and also a modern take on fine old hymns by Wesley and others
The sound will vary depending on which musicians are playing and who is leading, and we rotate our worship leaders and musicians every Sunday.
We try to encourage freedom in worship, which can mean going ‘off script’ as the congregation are taken deeper into the heart worship. We want to be led by the Holy Spirit in the choice of songs, how we play and how we respond to promptings during worship.
Newcomers are always welcome – a real heart for worship is a higher priority than possession of musical excellence!
